By 2020 we will be converting coal into clean burning methane and burning that in power plants, so Mayor Villaraigosa is just spouting "vote gettings".

sure....with a statewide deficit abandon the cheapest energy source there is....no less smog until people stop driving to go to the bathroom out there....

Yes, we need to get off dependance of Coal, One of the USA's Most plentiful resources and use only clean burning IMPORTED OIL thank oyou LADWP for opening our eyes to filthy coal

If they harnessed the methane coming from Al Gore and the tree huggers the whole country would be free of coal fired plants.... and natural gas fired, ...nuclear,... hydroelectric......Hmmmmmm!

LADWP will have a tough time doing that with CA's economy like it is and going the route they say they will will cost more so where's the money going to come from?
